Fluorite, Xia Yan Mine, Quanzhou, Fujian. China
A mostly flat yet large slab of dark grey rock matrix crowned with an arch of deep violet Fluorite, some semi-transparent and others nearly impenetrable under the light. The backside reveals a near forest of the squared crystals, making this self standing specimen a wonderful piece to exhibit anywhere under a good light.
